Professionals who are certified in supporting families and children to develop listening and spoken language are known as Listening and Spoken Language Specialists (They work ™). in a variety of settings: home-based intervention, private therapy, and clinical centers, cochlear implant centers, as well as in public and private schools. guide and coach families in interactive activities aimed at building auditory skills and developing spoken language. The parents become the primary facilitators of their child’s language development.
LSLS are designated as either:
Therapists - LSLS Certified Auditory-Verbal Therapists (LSLS Cert. AVT) or
Educators - LSLS Certified Auditory-Verbal Educators (LSLS Cert. AVEd)
