Don't Talk About Colors With Kids That Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Do you know that as an auditory-verbal therapist, I rarely talk about colors?

➼ Once a child uses COLORS to describe objects, it can become the easy, go-to adjective. A red apple, yellow sun, green frog…

➼ Rather, encourage parents and caregivers to describe how frogs hop, have big eyes, smooth skin, swim in the water, and croak.

➼ Have you ever meet a child with hearing loss that needs to be TAUGHT colors?
